Winter CSA

Bob and I enjoyed our summer CSA share so much that we jumped at the chance to sign up for a winter share - so I'm sharing with you again. We will receive 1 delivery each month from November thru to April when our summer share will get ready to start up again. It is a package deal of meat, eggs, winter greenhouse and storage veggies.

Our December share was delivered on December 18th and contained:
2 dozen eggs;
2 heads of Boston Lettuce and Tomatoes;
Potatoes, acorn squash, green cabbage and garlic;
Christmas Turkey;
Smoked Ham, Prime Rib Steaks, Sirloin Tip Roast, BBQ Beef Ribs, Blade and Minute Steaks, 4 packages of Hamburger and a Pork Loin something (can't quite make out the stamp)

Due to the lateness of this post - clearly I still don't have all the goodies to photograph. So here is description of what they became, you can make your own picture.

The cabbage and some hamburger became Cabbage Rolls, the Squash became the filling (with some veal) for my ravioli and the lettuce and tomatoes made many great BLT's. Tonight the potatoes and hamburger are in the oven as the staples of Shepherd's pie and some Minute steaks are in the fridge defrosting for Korean sizzling beef strips and rice later this week.

2 heads of Boston Lettuce, Tomatoes, Cucumber and radishes;
