Storm 2009

Since I didn't have a tripod with me (very important for shooting long night exposures), I sat in the box of the truck and took pictures of Bob silhouetted by the lightening strikes.

Alittle crisper but the lightening is behind the tree.

Also tried taking long exposures of the cars as they came and left the beach.

Night Out

Bob and I were meeting up with Monica and Rob for dinner and drinks at Betty's - on the walk there from work I stopped to take these pic's.

Practicing some architectural type shots. I envision these hung side by side.

View from my seat at Betty's. Time to head home.

Practicing - Depth of Field

While Bob was shooting the abandoned mushroom farm I thought I would practice my depth of field. I want to improve my "intuition" so that I can more quickly gage the correct aperture to ensure that my subject is fully in focus but the background is blurred. It will make for better candid's.

Not an interesting picture, but as I said - just practicing.

Bugs - Close up.
This is a crop of the picture above.

Wierd Catepillar that fell out of the tree and landed on Dan - who thought it was going to eat his sweater. lol

A Thursday in Haliburton

This is to go with my boat pick from Tbay in February (to explain the processing).

A frog in a boat.

Fish'in off the dock.

First stop on the way home was to check out this beautiful barn.
...What!
Second stop was to check out this bird's nest - I got one shot when they were flying around being angry with us for disturbing them but by the time we got lenses changed they were gone.

As we were packing up though, there was a hot air balloon on the other side of the road.
